Median Grade Equivalent is an indicator of the performance of the typical student in the group in terms of grade equivalents. For example, the median grade equivalent of Advent kindergarten students who took the SAT in 2008 is 1.4. This indicates that Advent Kindergarteners who took the SAT performed at the level of first grade students in their fourth month of school.
Advent students have tested well above grade level on the Stanford Achievement Test, with the elementary grades averaging a 2 year advancement, and the middle school grades averaging a 3 year advancement. Standardized writing tests show an advanced level as well, with our graduating eighth graders averaging a 11th grade 7th month level over the past three years on persuasive writing (Stanford Achievement Test – Writing).
