Serving at Worship
There are many ways to serve at our worship services:
Our Welcome Teams offer warm and intentional Christian hospitality to all who attend our worship services so that they will be embraced by God’s love and will experience that “everybody is somebody” at Advent.
Our Worship Teams enhance all aspects of our worship as sanctuary hosts, lectors, altar guild members, prayer partners,
communion assistants, offering takers, media technicians, and visual and dramatic arts professionals.
Media Ministry personnel are responsible for operating the sound, lighting, and video equipment at each service to aid in delivering the Word.
Special Events volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks at special events including setting-up, cooking, decorating, organizing, managing, supervising audio/visual needs, performing, and taking photographs.
Communion Visitation Ministry members bring the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month to those who are sick or who are homebound. Lay people who wish to serve in this ministry are trained by the pastors.
Flower Ministry volunteers deliver Sanctuary flowers to our members who are sick or shut-in.
