Fellowship
Social events at Advent are intended to provide opportunities for our members, friends, family and community to celebrate life together in a Christian environment.
Sunday Morning Fellowship (with refreshments) takes place in our courtyard Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30. This is a great way to meet people and to find out more about Advent.
Master Builders Men's Ministry offers numerous opportunities for men to share in fellowship through small groups, sporting events, retreats, learning and sharing with guest speakers, and community service.
Women of the Word is our very active women's ministry. Join us for women's Bible studies, sharing and caring through small groups, social activities, retreats and community service.
Breakfast Club is our youth ministry for 5th and 6th graders. This group meets on the second and fourth Sunday of every month during the 10:00 worship service to share in the Word and to enjoy the breakfast they help plan and cook. This group attends communion worship on the first and third Sunday of every month.
Edge is our two-year confirmation program for 7th and 8th graders. Bible study, a week-long camp experience, service projects and fellowship are some components of the program. We meet Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30. A youth and parent confirmation weekend retreat is held in the spring.
Journey is Advent's youth program for 9th - 12th graders. The group meets Sunday evenings from 6 - 8 for teen Bible study, social activities, outreach/service projects, mission trips, and FUN. Journey joins with other Boca Church youth groups for community sports, worship and community projects.
Young Adult (JOLT) is a dynamic group of fun-loving, young adults (ages 21 - 35). They meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month to focus on leadership development, planning, fellowship and Bible study.
Retreats are offered throughout the year for men, women, singles and couples to grow together spiritually, relax, and share their experiences with each other. Please click here to see a listing of upcoming retreats.
Discovery Weekend is a Friday through Sunday retreat held at Advent. While you sleep at home, you spend the rest of the weekend developing friendships with other attendees as you listen to a series of talks on Christian life. Held regularly, Discovery helps you "charge up" your Christian life and experience the renewal that comes when the Body Christ joins together with Him at its center.
Apostolos Weekend is based on the Discovery model and is intended for mature Christians who have attended Discovery, Via de Cristo, or both. An Apostolos weekend is designed to help participants discover their unique Christian calling and to equip them with the tools they need to live out their Christian faith in the world.
Via de Cristo is a three-day retreat study in Christianity, sponsored by the Gold Coast Via de Cristo Secretariat. This event will acquaint you quickly with a living Lord and return you to Advent ready to serve the one who has saved you. Call the church office at 561-395-3632 for more information.
Power lunch takes place every Thursday (September - June) at 11:30 a.m. at Advent Square. Join us as we discuss how our Christian faith impacts our daily lives. The cost is $6.
Y.E.S. (Youthful Energetic Seniors) is for people 55 years old and older. The group meets for lunch and a program once a month (September - June) at Advent Square. They also travel together and enjoys group outings to local events. Anyone aged 55 or older is welcome to join. Please contact Dave Kirk at 561-395-3632 x19 for more information.
