For Middle School Students
Advent has many programs to address the needs of children who are middle school age:
Advent Lutheran Middle School provides a Christ-centered environment for children in sixth through eighth grade. We also strive for academic excellence in mathematics, language, natural science, fine arts, and physical education. For more information about our elementary and middle school, please click here.
Breakfast Club - is our youth ministry for fifth and sixth graders. This group meets on the second and fourth Sunday of every month during the 10:00 a.m. Sunday worship service to share in the word and to enjoy the breakfast they help plan and cook. This group attends communion worship on the first and third Sunday of every month.The Edge: Youth Ministry for 7th- 8th Graders
Our two-year Confirmation program, called "The Edge," meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. during the school year. UtiliIng the Ausburg Lutheran Confirmation Curriculum Here We Stand, Edge is on the cutting edge of culture and faith, spiritual childhood and spiritual adulthood, baptized Christian and disciple of Christ. The meetings include shared worship and activities with The Journey (Senior High Ministry) and learning times that prepare our youth to make a commitment to discipleship through Confirmation. Confirmation begins in the 7th grade and is fulfilled in the 8th grade with a confirmation retreat hosted by Advent.
