Advent Lutheran School Receives
High Praise with Accreditation
Boca Raton, Florida – Advent Lutheran School received its accreditation from the Florida-Georgia Lutheran Church Missouri Synod on May 1, 2009. Advent was approved in all 147 areas of compliance that were reviewed and received commendations for several items including: above average SAT scores, parent’s confidence in Advent’s facility and the safety of their children, the Early Childhood School, the after-school program, on-campus school nurse, student life, chapel services, and Advent sharing the love of Christ with children and families. As part of the accreditation process, Advent’s curriculum was reviewed, classrooms were observed, and the effectiveness of all programs was evaluated.
In addition to a successful accreditation process, Advent was also recently approved as an I-20 school. As an I-20 school, Advent is approved by the government to accept international students into its program.
“I am very proud of our staff, students and parents for achieving such high praise during the accreditation process,” said Paul Humphreys, headmaster of Advent Lutheran School. “As we move forward and continue a tradition of excellence in education, we will focus on technology, math and science. These programs will continue to grow and expand to meet and exceed the standards set both locally and nationally. Our status as an I-20 school also gives us an exciting opportunity to share the love of Christ with students from other countries.”
Advent Lutheran School, located at 300 East Yamato Road in Boca Raton, inspires minds, guides hearts, nurtures souls and shapes lives of children ranging in age from 6-weeks old through 8th grade.
