Advent's preschool program is designed for children who are three years of age on or before September 1, and are able to use the toilet independently.
Our classroom setting has a variety of schedules. Each classroom setting focuses on age appropriate process, not product, experiences. Multi-sensory activities provide opportunities for children to be engaged in learning in a variety of ways. Children improve social skills as they learn to "use their words" to resolve situations. Language and vocabulary development is again stressed on this level with songs, games, and finger plays. Class projects are an important part of the preschool program. The daily schedule includes "circle time," small group time, art experiences, story times, stories from the Bible, indoor and outdoor play time. Specialty classes include music, physical education, Spanish and computer classes for full day students. Preschool children attend Chapel every Friday.
Parents supply lunch and nap blankets as needed. Hot lunch is available at an additional cost.
Mrs. Lin Hurley, department head for the preschool program since 2004, is available to meet with parents to discuss the program. Please contact our office at 561-395-3631 x4 to learn more about our preschool program.
